The Armenian national team completed a successful performance at the World Challenge Cup stage held in Tashkent from June 18 to 21. Competing with its reserve lineup, Armenia won three medals.

The gold medal was secured by 18-year-old Mamikon Khachatryan, who triumphed in the pommel horse. This marks another step forward for the young gymnast, who had already made headlines by winning silver at the 2025 European Championships.

Two Armenian gymnasts earned bronze medals:

Robert Gyulumyan (18) finished third on the horizontal bar. This was his first senior-level tournament and immediately brought him a debut medal.

Armen Petrosyan (30) claimed bronze in the floor exercise. He hadn’t competed in FIG-sanctioned international events since 2021, making this podium finish a significant comeback.

The Tashkent stage was an important experience for Armenia’s reserve team and highlighted the depth of talent beyond the main squad.

Host nation Uzbekistan claimed the highest number of medals: 4 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze.
