Tigran Barseghyan scores Slovan’s title-winning goal

Slovan midfielder Tigran Barseghyan scored the goal that secured the Bratislava club an early league title.

In the Matchday 8 fixture of the Slovak league’s championship group, Slovan defeated Dunajska Streda 1-0. Barseghyan scored the only goal of the match in the 79th minute. For the 32-year-old footballer, it was his ninth goal of the current season.

Thanks to this victory, Slovan clinched the league title ahead of schedule.

Barseghyan spent 85 minutes on the pitch and was substituted due to an injury. During his time on the field, in addition to the goal, he recorded 3 shots, made 2 key passes and received the highest rating of the match according to SofaScore — 8.5.

For the former captain of the Armenia national team, this championship will be his fifth consecutive title with Slovan.
