FIFA Announces Participants for FIFA Series 2026

FIFA has officially confirmed the participants and group compositions for the FIFA Series 2026 tournaments. This year, 48 national teams from all six confederations will take part, representing nearly a quarter of all FIFA members.
The competitions will take place in 12 groups—9 men’s and 3 women’s. Matches will be broadcast worldwide, allowing fans to follow their teams and increasing the visibility of national squads.
It has been confirmed that the Armenian national team will not participate in the FIFA Series 2026 tournaments this year, although there were previous reports of participation in Indonesia.

The men’s tournament will feature teams of varying strengths, from top squads like Australia (FIFA 26) to developing nations such as the US Virgin Islands (FIFA 207). The women’s tournament will also include teams across the rankings—from Brazil (7) to Turks & Caicos Islands (194).
Five men’s teams—Australia, Cape Verde, Curaçao, New Zealand, and Uzbekistan—have already qualified for the FIFA 2026™ World Cup, highlighting the high level of competition.
FIFA emphasizes that the series not only creates new international competitions but also helps associations develop organizational skills, referee training, and infrastructure for future major tournaments.
Match schedules for all groups will be announced later, likely in March 2026.
