UEFA Futsal Champions League returns to Yerevan: Unisport prepares for European challenge

Yerevan will once again become the center of European futsal. From August 25 to 29, the Armenian capital will host the group-stage matches of the preliminary round of the UEFA Futsal Champions League.
Armenia will be represented on the international stage by the country’s champions, Unisport. The club earned the right to participate in the tournament after winning the national championship and will now compete for a place in the main round of Europe’s premier futsal club competition.
Unisport has been drawn into Group E, where its opponents will be German side Weilimdorf, Estonia’s Tallinn and Iceland’s Reykjavik. After the group stage, only the winner of the group will advance to the next round of the tournament.
For the Armenian team, the home matches will be an important test and an opportunity to showcase the level of national futsal on the European stage. The support of fans in Yerevan could become an additional factor in the battle for first place in the group.

All Group E matches will take place at the Football Academy hall of the Technical Centre of the Football Federation of Armenia in Yerevan.
Admission to the matches will be free. According to Unisport’s social media announcement, tickets will be available from August 25 at the registration desk of the Football Academy.
Yerevan is preparing to host another European futsal celebration, while Unisport faces a serious challenge against representatives from Germany, Estonia and Iceland.
