From May 26 to 31, the 2025 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships took place in Leipzig, Germany. The tournament once again confirmed the high level of the Armenian gymnastics school — the Armenian national team confidently placed among the continent’s best both in terms of medal count and individual achievements.
Team Armenia concluded the European Championships with four medals:
Gold — Artur Davtyan (vault)
Gold — Hamlet Manukyan (pommel horse)
Silver — Mamikon Khachatryan (pommel horse)
Bronze — Artur Avetisyan (rings)
Three Armenian gymnasts achieved the highest scores of the entire tournament — across all apparatuses and both men's and women's events:
-
Artur Davtyan (Armenia) — 14.799 (vault)
-
Hamlet Manukyan (Armenia) — 14.766 (pommel horse)
-
Mamikon Khachatryan (Armenia) — 14.733 (pommel horse)
and Jake Jarman (Great Britain) — 14.733 (vault) -
Luke Whitehouse (Great Britain) — 14.500 (floor)
While the disciplines differ, the judging principles are similar: gymnasts perform eight required elements (formerly ten), and the final score combines difficulty and execution.
