Armenia international Narek Hovhannisyan will continue his career in Poland. The 20-year-old has officially joined Lechia Gdańsk from Yerevan-based BKMA.
Hovhannisyan has signed a long-term five-year contract with his new club. The transfer fee for the Armenian winger is reported to be around €300,000.
This season, Hovhannisyan has made six appearances for BKMA, recording three goals and one assist.
Narek primarily plays as a left winger. One of his main competitors for a place in Lechia's starting lineup will be 21-year-old Albanian footballer Kevin Dodaj.
Both players have an estimated market value of €400,000. Dodaj has registered one goal and one assist in four appearances this season.
Lechia were relegated from the Polish Ekstraklasa at the end of last season and dropped to the I Liga, the second tier of Polish football. The Gdańsk-based club will now be aiming to earn promotion back to the top flight.
The move to Lechia marks a new chapter in the 20-year-old Hovhannisyan's career and will be his first experience playing outside Armenia.
