Armenian boxing teams to compete at European Championships in Sofia

Armenia’s men’s and women’s boxing teams will take part in the 2026 European Championships, which will be held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

The Boxing Federation of Armenia has announced the national team rosters for the upcoming continental tournament.

Ten boxers have been included in the men’s squad:

50 kg — Rudolf Garboyan,
55 kg — Zhirayr Sargsyan,
60 kg — Artur Bazeyan,
65 kg — Artur Sahakyan,
70 kg — Harutyun Hakobkokhyan,
75 kg — Marat Mikayelyan,
80 kg — Artush Hovhannisyan,
85 kg — Rafael Hovhannisyan,
90 kg — Narek Manasyan,
+90 kg — Davit Chaloyan.

Armenia will be represented by three athletes in the women’s competition: Heghine Petrosyan in the 48 kg category, Lusya Avetisyan at 54 kg and Elida Kocharyan at 66 kg.

The European Boxing Championships will take place in Sofia from September 15 to 26. Armenian boxers will compete for medals across 13 weight categories.
