Armen Karapetyan Wins Bronze at World Veterans Wrestling Championships for Second Consecutive Year

Armenian wrestler Armen Karapetyan has won a bronze medal at the World Veterans Freestyle Wrestling Championships for the second consecutive year. This time, he reached the podium at the tournament held in Amman, Jordan.
Karapetyan competed in the 70 kg weight category in the Veterans B age division. In the decisive bronze medal bout, the Armenian wrestler secured a dominant 10–0 victory over Mongolia's Ariunbayar Dashtseren, ending the match early by technical superiority.
Kazakhstan's Nurlan Serikbol claimed the world title in this weight category.
Notably, Karapetyan also competed in the Greco-Roman wrestling competition but was unable to achieve a podium finish, suffering two defeats.
Meanwhile, another wrestler of Armenian descent, Gevorg Tonoyan, representing Russia, earned a bronze medal at the World Veterans Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships.
Thus, wrestlers of Armenian origin secured podium finishes in both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling at the World Veterans Championships in Amman.
