Armenian wrestler Armen Karapetyan (70 kg) won a bronze medal at the 2025 World Veterans Freestyle Wrestling Championship, held in Budapest from October 7 to 12.
In the bronze medal bout, Karapetyan claimed a confident 5–2 victory over Georgia’s Zviad Gvilava.
The gold medal in this weight category went to Germany’s Johannes Uchoenholt, while Kazakhstan’s Nuran Serikbol took silver.
Three more wrestlers from the Armenian national team will compete at the tournament, continuing the fight for world championship medals.
