Tiknizyan helps Olympiacos claim comeback win in Europa League

Greek side Olympiacos made a successful start to their 2026/27 Europa League campaign, coming from behind to beat Polish club Jagiellonia 2-1 in the opening round.
The visitors opened the scoring. Kajetan Szmyt put Jagiellonia ahead in the 20th minute, but after conceding, Olympiacos took control of the game and spent most of the remaining time on the attack.
The Greek club's dominance was also reflected in the shooting statistics, with the hosts registering a 25-4 advantage.
Olympiacos managed to draw level before the break. Armando Gonzalez made it 1-1 in the 43rd minute. The winning goal came late in the match, as Roman Yaremchuk scored in the 84th minute to secure all three points for his team.
Armenia international defender Nair Tiknizyan started the match on the bench and came on immediately after the break. He received a 6.8 rating from SofaScore for his performance.

In the second round of the Europa League, Olympiacos will travel to face Marseille. Jagiellonia, meanwhile, will host Armenian club Ararat-Armenia, who suffered a 4-1 defeat to Sparta today.
