Nair Tiknizyan could still join Olympiacos

Crvena Zvezda and Armenia national team defender Nair Tiknizyan could still continue his career at Greek club Olympiacos.

According to Sportal Srbija, the Piraeus-based club is at an advanced stage of negotiations with Crvena Zvezda over a transfer for the 26-year-old defender.

The Serbian club values Tiknizyan at €6 million. Olympiacos’ current offer is €1 million below the asking price. Despite the difference in valuation, negotiations between the two clubs are continuing.

Crvena Zvezda had previously been unwilling to sell Tiknizyan, counting on him to help the team qualify for the main stage of the Champions League. However, following the Serbian club’s elimination from the competition, its position has changed and a transfer is now possible again.

Olympiacos have also been eliminated from the Champions League, but unlike Crvena Zvezda, the Greek club have already secured a place in the league phase of the Europa League.
