Following the matches of the 30th round of the Russian Premier League, the medal winners of the 2025/26 season have been officially confirmed. Zenit Saint Petersburg became Russian champions, Krasnodar claimed the silver medals, while Lokomotiv took bronze.
Krasnodar ended the season with a confident 3-0 victory over Orenburg. Murad Musaev’s side achieved its target in the final round and finished second in the league table.
The goals for Krasnodar were scored by Kevin Lenini, Jhon Cordoba and Eduard Spertsyan. Lenini opened the scoring in the 36th minute, Cordoba found the net in the 63rd, and the captain of the Armenian national team sealed the final result in the 88th minute.
Krasnodar finished the championship with 66 points, just two points behind Zenit, who became Russian champions. This is the second silver medal in Krasnodar’s RPL history. The club first finished as runner-up in the 2023/24 season.
Eduard Spertsyan’s season deserves special mention. The Armenian midfielder ended the campaign with 13 goals and 16 assists. With 16 assists, Spertsyan became the best assist provider in the RPL and also finished first in the goal+assist ranking.
In total, the Krasnodar captain recorded 29 goal contributions. His closest challengers were his teammate Jhon Cordoba and Lokomotiv’s Alexey Batrakov, who both finished with 23 goal contributions. Cordoba also became the league’s top scorer, netting 17 goals.
Zenit won the championship title at the end of the season. In the final round, Sergey Semak’s team defeated Rostov 1-0 away from home. The only goal of the match was scored by Alexander Sobolev from the penalty spot in the 14th minute.
The Saint Petersburg club finished the season in first place with 68 points and became Russian champions for the 11th time. This is a new record for the top division: previously, Zenit shared the lead for the most Russian league titles with Spartak.
For Zenit, this is another league title in the club’s modern history. The Saint Petersburg side previously won the RPL in 2007, 2010, 2011/12, 2014/15, 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24. The club also still has the 1984 Soviet championship title to its name.
