Portuguese specialist Ricardo Dionísio has left his position as head coach of Ararat Yerevan.
Dionísio took charge of the team in the winter of 2026 and worked with the club during the second part of the season. Under his leadership, Ararat managed to improve their performances and results, as well as avoid relegation from the Armenian Premier League.
However, it later became known that the Armenian championship would be expanded to 12 clubs, meaning Ararat would have kept their place in the top division in any case.
Despite that, the Portuguese coach will not continue his work at the club. As a result, the legendary Yerevan side will once again begin preparations for the new season with a new head coach.
It is still unknown who will take charge of the team.
