Ararat-Armenia have officially announced the signing of 28-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper Joao Bravim. The keeper has joined the Armenian champions ahead of their start in Champions League qualifying.
Bravim spent the last two seasons in Portugal, playing in the country’s second division for Leiria and Alverca. The Brazilian goalkeeper has also made one appearance in Portugal’s top flight for Casa Pia.
Joao Bravim is a product of Brazilian club Cruzeiro. His market value is estimated at €800,000, while his height is 192 cm.
Bravim to replace Bruno Pinto at Ararat-Armenia
Bravim is expected to replace Portuguese goalkeeper Bruno Pinto, who has already left Ararat-Armenia. The signing of a new goalkeeper is especially important for the Yerevan club ahead of the start of their European campaign.
On July 7, Ararat-Armenia will play their first match in the first qualifying round of the Champions League. The Armenian champions will face Latvian side Riga.
It will be the team’s first serious test of the new season, and Bravim could get the chance to make his debut for Ararat-Armenia in the European tie.
