Armenia U16 Basketball Team Squad for Home European Championship

Armenia U16 basketball team head coach Narek Kapushyan has announced the squad for the FIBA U16 EuroBasket Division C, which will take place in Yerevan from July 4 to 12.

The Armenian team is currently holding a training camp at Olympavan. The squad continues its preparations for the home tournament and will hold intensive training sessions in the coming days in order to approach the championship in optimal form.

In the group stage, Armenia U16 will compete in Group B. The Armenian team will face Gibraltar, Malta, Andorra and Monaco.

The FIBA U16 EuroBasket Division C games will be held at the sports complex operating within the structure of the Sports Management Center, located at 41 Manandyan Street, Yerevan.

Head coach Narek Kapushyan will be assisted in the national team by Chris Chamkrtian, Levon Sarmazyan and Mkhitar Vardanyan.

It should be noted that Narek Kapushyan previously worked with the Armenian AGBU school team in California and achieved notable success with it. Now two players from that system — Ethan Kazanchyan and Jivan Doryan — have been included in Armenia’s U16 squad for the home European Championship.
