As a result of the tournament, Armenia finished second in the group and earned the right to compete in Davis Cup Europe Group III in 2027.
In the match against Malta, Samvel Aghayan lost to Liam Delicata 1-6, 1-6. Davit Poghosyan was defeated by Alex Degabriele 0-6, 3-6. In the doubles match, Mikael Avanesyan and Avetik Ghazaryan lost in three sets to Matthew Asciak and Evan Galea — 6-7, 7-6, 2-6.
Armenia finished the tournament with four wins and one defeat. Earlier, the Armenian players defeated Iceland, Albania, Andorra and San Marino.
Malta took first place after winning all five matches. Armenia finished second with a record of four wins and one defeat. Notably, four players represented Armenia at the home tournament, and all of them are 18 years old.
Thus, in 2027, the Armenia men’s tennis team will play in a stronger division of the Davis Cup — Europe Group III.
