The Armenian national football team has dropped three positions and is now ranked 105th in the updated FIFA ranking published on July 10. This is the team’s worst result since April 2019, when Armenia was ranked 106th.
In June, Armenia played two away friendlies: losing 2–5 to Kosovo and drawing 2–2 with Montenegro.
Among Armenia's rivals in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Portugal holds the highest position — 6th place. Hungary is ranked 38th, and Ireland sits in 60th.
There were no changes in the top five of the ranking: reigning world champion Argentina remains first, followed by France, Belgium, England, and Brazil. Portugal has overtaken the Netherlands and climbed to 6th place. Croatia has reentered the top 10, pushing Italy down to 11th.
