The UFC debut of Armenian fighter Albert Tadevosyan has been postponed. The 33-year-old welterweight has withdrawn from his bout against Khaos Williams, which was scheduled for June 7 at UFC 316 in Newark, USA. The reason was an unsuccessful attempt to pass the medical check.
Despite this, Tadevosyan is now officially a UFC fighter. His debut in the world’s top promotion may still happen in the future — although not on short notice as originally planned.
Tadevosyan accepted the fight just a week before the event, stepping in for the ill Uroš Medić. At the time of cancellation, Albert was riding a six-fight finish streak, with five of those wins coming in the first round. In March 2025, he captured the UNF welterweight title by submitting El Ldey Porti.
His professional record stands at 13 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw, with 11 of those victories coming by knockout or submission. The UFC has already highlighted Tadevosyan as an exciting finisher, and now fans will have to wait a bit longer for his full debut.
