Former Armenia national team captain Varazdat Haroyan will continue his career at Yerevan’s Ararat. The club has officially announced the signing of the 33-year-old defender.
Haroyan had been without a club for the past six months. In November 2025, he left Hungarian side Kazincbarcika and had remained a free agent since then.
Haroyan is one of the most experienced Armenian footballers of recent years. The defender has made 92 appearances for the Armenia national team and scored 4 goals. At different stages of his career, he served as captain of the national team and was one of the leaders of Armenia’s defensive line.
For Ararat, this is already the fourth signing of the summer transfer window. Earlier, the club signed Arman Khachatryan, Narek Alaverdyan and Benik Hovhannisyan.
Haroyan’s arrival should add experience and reliability to Ararat’s defence ahead of the new season.
