The Football Federation of Armenia, together with technical partner Macron, has unveiled the new home and away shirts of the Armenia national team.
Special attention was paid to Armenian cultural heritage in the creation of the new kits. Their design is inspired by elements of ancient Armenian ornamental lettering and the traditions of manuscript decoration.
The home shirt features motifs of trchnagir, the unique Armenian “bird script,” in which letters and decorative elements were created using stylized images of birds.
The design of the away kit is based on ornaments that were used for centuries to decorate and frame Armenian manuscripts. In this way, historical artistic elements have been given a modern interpretation and have become part of the national team’s new visual identity.
To present the new kits, the Football Federation of Armenia prepared a special video. Filming took place at the Mesrop Mashtots Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts — the Matenadaran, one of the leading centers for the preservation and study of Armenia’s written heritage.
The FFA also expressed its gratitude to the Matenadaran for its assistance in organizing and carrying out the filming.
The Football Federation of Armenia will announce the official launch and the start of sales of the national team’s new shirts in the near future.
