Padel Gains Popularity in Armenia: 100 Players to Compete at Halloween Championship in Yerevan

On October 31, 2026, Yerevan will host the Inecobank x Padel Battle Halloween Padel Championship, a major tournament bringing together around 100 players. The competition will take place at Padel Battle, Armenia's largest padel club, with the support of Inecobank, Red Bull, and Ground Zero Venture Café.

Participants will compete in two categories, with cash prizes, professional padel rackets for the winners, and a special competition for the best Halloween costume.

The organizers aim to bring together not only athletes and padel enthusiasts but also fans, business representatives, and members of Armenia's sporting community.

Padel Is One of the World's Fastest-Growing Sports

Padel is rapidly gaining popularity in countries around the world, attracting both professional athletes and recreational sports enthusiasts.

The sport has numerous celebrity fans, including legendary Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.

The International Padel Federation (FIP) is also working to expand the sport's global presence and is promoting its inclusion in the Olympic program for the 2032 Games in Brisbane.

Armenia is gradually becoming part of this global movement. The country is developing padel facilities, organizing amateur competitions, and building a growing community of players.

Padel Battle Has Hosted More Than 60 Tournaments in Just a Few Months

The upcoming Halloween Championship will be Padel Battle's second major sporting event in the past month and a half.

The first large-scale tournament took place on September 19 to celebrate the club's official opening, attracting 120 players.

Padel Battle is Armenia's largest padel club, featuring six professional courts, including three indoor courts.

Since August 2026, the venue has hosted more than 60 amateur tournaments. Competitions for players of different skill levels are organized almost daily, helping to promote the sport throughout Armenia.

In addition, Padel Battle became the first club in Armenia to introduce the international Lunda player rating system. This allows local players to track their progress and compare their playing levels with participants from other countries.

Developing Armenia's Sports Infrastructure

Padel Battle was established by a team with experience in organizing major sporting projects.

The club's co-founder and CEO, Natalia Kazantseva, previously participated in organizing the 2025 Ice Hockey World Championship in Yerevan.

The new project aims not only to develop padel as a sport but also to create a modern sporting environment that brings together people who enjoy an active lifestyle.

The upcoming Halloween Championship will mark another step toward promoting padel in Armenia and attracting new participants to the sport.
