On July 21, the draw for the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League was held in Nyon, Switzerland. Armenian champions FC Noah, who continue their journey in the Champions League, learned the name of a possible opponent in case of a loss to Hungary’s Ferencváros in the second round.
If the Armenian club loses, it will move to the Europa League’s Champions Path and face the loser of the tie between Lincoln Red Imps (Gibraltar) and Crvena Zvezda (Serbia).
The draw was relatively favorable for Noah. It is expected that Crvena Zvezda will comfortably beat Lincoln, and in that case, the Armenian side would face the team from Gibraltar — arguably one of the most manageable possible opponents at this stage.
If Noah defeats Ferencváros, they will continue in the Champions League and play the winner of the Rijeka (Croatia) vs Ludogorets (Bulgaria) match in the third round.
The Europa League Champions Path includes teams that drop out of the Champions League qualifying rounds. The League Path consists of non-champion clubs and some teams that started their European campaign in the Europa League. An exception is the Servette vs Viktoria Plzeň pair, which also arrived from the Champions League.
Here are all the ties for the Europa League third qualifying round:
