On September 21, the Armenia national team held a full training session as part of its preparations for the start of the UEFA Nations League. On the second day of the training camp, the players who had finished their club matches later than the rest joined the squad.

Ognjen Čančarević, Narek Hovhannisyan, Narek Grigoryan, Eduard Spertsyan, Nair Tiknizyan, Artem Bandikyan, Edgar Sevikyan, Artur Serobyan, Zhirayr Shaghoyan, Karen Muradyan, Julio Bueno and Araik Eloyan arrived at the national team's camp.

BKMA defender Argishti Petrosyan also joined the squad after receiving a late call-up to replace the injured Styopa Mkrtchyan. The Nürnberg defender had initially been included in Armenia's squad but was unable to join the national team due to injury.

Thus, Yeghishe Melikyan's side continues its preparations for the opening UEFA Nations League match against Latvia with almost all available players in camp.

Ahead of the match, Armenia defender Georgiy Harutyunyan spoke about the team's preparations and highlighted one of Latvia's main strengths.

“Today we had our second training session. All the players are now with the team. We have already managed to do several technical exercises. It is always very nice to come to the national team. International football is completely different from club football — there are different goals, different challenges and different motivation here.

It is always difficult to play against Latvia, both at home and away. They are a very tall team,” Harutyunyan said.

Armenia will continue their preparations in Yerevan. Their first match of the new UEFA Nations League campaign against Latvia will take place in Yerevan on September 25.
