Nair Tiknizyan named the best left-back of the 2025/26 Serbian championship season

Armenia national team and Red Star Belgrade defender Nair Tiknizyan has been included in the Serbian SuperLiga Team of the Season. According to the official website of the Serbian championship, the 26-year-old footballer was named the best left-back of the 2025/26 season.
The award ceremony took place in Belgrade as part of the “PRVI TIM” event, organized by the Association of Serbian SuperLiga Clubs and Mozzart, the league’s general sponsor. The best players of the jubilee 20th season of Serbia’s top division were selected by the captains and head coaches of all 16 clubs. Representatives of each team were not allowed to vote for players from their own club.
For Tiknizyan, this was his first season with Red Star Belgrade, and it immediately proved to be highly successful. Together with the Belgrade club, the Armenian international became Serbian champion, won the Serbian Cup, and helped the team reach the Europa League play-offs.
In total, Nair Tiknizyan made 46 appearances in all competitions during the 2025/26 season, scoring 1 goal and providing 7 assists. In the Serbian championship, he played 25 matches and registered 5 assists.
Red Star Belgrade forward Aleksandar Katai was named the best player of the Serbian SuperLiga season. He also received a special award as the all-time leading scorer in Serbia’s top division.

In addition, Vasilije Kostov of Red Star Belgrade was named the best young player of the season, while Radomir Koković, head coach of Železničar, received the award for best coach.
