Armenia national team defender Nair Tiknizyan may leave Red Star Belgrade during the summer transfer window. This is reported by the Serbian outlet Mozzartsport.
According to the source, the Belgrade club is considering the possibility of selling one of the team’s left-backs — Nair Tiknizyan or Adem Avdić. The reason is that Red Star are interested in Salzburg left-back Aleksa Terzić, but they will not take concrete steps toward his transfer until they free up space in the squad and budget for that position.
The club understands that the departure of at least one left-back in the summer looks realistic. At the same time, selling two players in that position at once is considered too risky, as it could weaken the squad depth ahead of the new season and European competitions.
It is noted that Tiknizyan’s transfer could bring the Serbian champions around €5 million. For Red Star, such a deal would be financially beneficial: the club previously signed the player for less than €2 million.
This season, Tiknizyan became Serbian champion with Red Star. This is the first league title of the defender’s career at national championship level. In total, he played 44 matches in all competitions this season, scoring 1 goal and providing 6 assists.
Transfermarkt values the 26-year-old footballer at €5 million.
