Armenia national team and Yerevan Pyunik goalkeeper Henri Avagyan has attracted the attention of Hungarian clubs. According to the Hungarian outlet NB1.hu, Győr are seriously considering the possibility of signing the 29-year-old goalkeeper.
Notably, Avagyan has already faced Győr this season — he played against the Hungarian club with Pyunik in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers. In addition, the goalkeeper featured twice for the Armenia national team in matches against Hungary during the 2026 World Cup qualification campaign, meaning his abilities are well known to the Hungarian side.
Earlier, Sportaran.com reported that Avagyan signed a contract with the French agency Christophe Hutteau, which represents the player on the international market. It was also noted that clubs from France’s Ligue 2 and Hungary were interested in the goalkeeper. Now, Győr’s interest has taken on a more concrete form.
This season, Henri Avagyan has played 13 matches in the Armenian Premier League, keeping six clean sheets.
