Armenian club Noah are considering Uruguayan coach Pablo García as a candidate for the position of head coach. The information was reported by insider Hayk Hovhannisyan.
Over the past few days, Armenian football has been actively discussing the possible departure of Noah’s current head coach, Sandro Perković. At his latest press conference, the Croatian specialist made a number of comments that were interpreted as an effective farewell to the team. However, the club has yet to officially announce his departure.
It is possible that Noah’s management intends to first decide on Perković’s successor before announcing any changes to the coaching staff.
According to Hovhannisyan, Pablo García has emerged as one of the leading candidates to become the Armenian club’s new head coach. Noah have considered several options in recent days, but the 49-year-old Uruguayan is reportedly among their priority candidates.
García is well known to football fans from his playing career. The midfielder played for Real Madrid and also spent a brief period on the books of Italian giants AC Milan. The Uruguayan spent a significant part of his career in European football.
After retiring as a player, García moved into coaching. He has managed Greek clubs PAOK, Panserraikos and Atromitos, while he spent the entire previous season in charge of Cypriot side APOEL.
Therefore, if appointed, García could become Noah’s new head coach in the near future. For now, however, the club has officially confirmed neither Sandro Perković’s departure nor negotiations with the Uruguayan coach.
It was previously reported that Croatian coach Sandro Perković will leave Noah.
