The 2026 European Taekwondo Championships concluded on May 14 in Munich. The tournament was held from May 11 to 14 in Germany at BMW Park München and became one of the last major events before the start of the Olympic qualification cycle, which begins on June 1, 2026.

Armenia was represented by three athletes. Unfortunately, the Armenian taekwondo athletes were unable to win a bout at the tournament.

Armenia’s results

Alex Melikyan competed in the men’s under 54 kg weight category. In his opening bout, he lost to a representative of Croatia with a score of 1:2.
