BKMA earned money from three transfers in 2026, including one international deal

BKMA Football Club has announced that it completed three transfers in 2026 which brought financial income to the club. One of the moves was an international transfer.

The deals involved striker Grenik Petrosyan, goalkeeper Davit Davtyan and Petik Manukyan. The transfers of each player had previously been reported separately, but BKMA has now clarified that all three deals involved financial compensation.

Grenik Petrosyan will continue his career with Belarusian club Torpedo-BelAZ. Excluding one season spent away from the team, the forward played five seasons for BKMA and had recently been one of the key players in the club’s attacking line.

According to the army club, BKMA respected the player’s wish to test himself in a new league. His existing contract was terminated by mutual consent, but negotiations between BKMA and the Belarusian club also played an important role in completing the move.

Goalkeeper Davit Davtyan joined Noah. BKMA explicitly stated that the goalkeeper’s transfer rights were sold to the Yerevan-based club.

Petik Manukyan’s move to Urartu was another paid deal. The player’s transfer rights now belong to his new club. BKMA noted that it also accommodated the player’s wishes and believes in his further development.

Therefore, BKMA earned money from three transfers in 2026, one of which was an international move.

The club’s statement also mentioned Mark Avetisyan’s transfer to Noah. However, his transfer rights belonged to Pyunik, meaning that the deal is not included among BKMA’s three transfers. Avetisyan spent the previous three seasons with the army club.

BKMA stressed that paid transfers of Armenian players between domestic clubs are gradually becoming part of the country’s internal transfer market.

In 2025, the club sold Daniel Aghbalyan’s transfer rights to Pyunik, while Aram Khamoyan’s rights were also transferred to Noah for a fee.

According to BKMA, the club has earned several tens of millions of Armenian drams from the domestic transfer market over the past two years. Earlier, Davit Hakobyan also moved from BKMA to the Slovak championship.

The club believes these deals demonstrate the effectiveness of the BKMA project, whose main objective is to develop young Armenian footballers and help them progress to a higher level.

In recent years, many players have passed through the team before continuing their careers with leading Armenian clubs, in European leagues and with the national team. They include Narek Grigoryan, Styopa Mkrtchyan, Zhirayr Shaghoyan, Artur Serobyan and others.

BKMA links the project’s development to cooperation between the Football Federation of Armenia, the club and the football academy in Avan, which is now known as the FFA Technical Centre.
