Arman Ghukasyan Finishes One Step Short of European Championship Medal, Taking Fourth Place

Armenian gymnast Arman Ghukasyan finished fourth in the pommel horse final at the European Junior Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Zagreb.
In the final, Ghukasyan scored 13.500 points, narrowly missing out on a place on the podium. Arman was Armenia’s only representative at the junior championships. He finished ninth in qualification and managed to advance to the decisive stage of the competition.
Ukraine’s Volodymyr Holovin became European champion with a score of 13.900 points. Russia’s Radmir Musaev claimed the silver medal with 13.833, while Zakkean Fawzi-McCaffrey took bronze.
Earlier, members of Armenia’s senior national team also won medals at the European Championships in Zagreb. Artur Avetisyan became European champion on still rings, while Hamlet Manukyan and Mamikon Khachatryan won silver and bronze respectively on pommel horse.
