Armenian gymnasts Hamlet Manukyan and Mamikon Khachatryan have reached the podium at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships for the second consecutive year.
In the pommel horse final, 18-year-old Hamlet Manukyan won the silver medal with a score of 15.000 points. Nineteen-year-old Mamikon Khachatryan finished third with 14.900 points.
The European title went to 20-year-old Italian gymnast Gabriele Targetta, who scored 15.133 points.

Notably, the same three gymnasts also swept the European Championships podium a year ago, although in a different order. On that occasion, Manukyan won gold, Khachatryan took silver, and Targetta claimed bronze.
Thus, Manukyan and Khachatryan have ranked among Europe’s top three pommel horse gymnasts for the second year in a row.
The next European Championships will be a home event for the Armenian national team, as the 2027 European Championships will be held in Yerevan.
The Armenian gymnasts’ campaign at the current European Championships continues. Today, Artur Avetisyan and Vahagn Davtyan will represent Armenia in the still rings final, while Artur Davtyan will compete in the vault final tomorrow.
