Akhmat Grozny have officially announced the departure of Armenian midfielder Valeri Tsarukyan. The 24-year-old has left the club following the expiration of his loan agreement.
According to the club’s press service, Tsarukyan will return to Pari Nizhny Novgorod, who own the player’s rights.
“We thank Valeri for his work with the club and wish him success in his future career,” Akhmat said in an official statement.
Tsarukyan joined the Grozny-based club during the winter transfer window of last season. However, he was unable to establish himself in the team: the midfielder never made his debut for Akhmat and did not play a single official match for the club.
Akhmat finished the completed Russian Premier League season in 9th place in the table. Pari NN, where Tsarukyan will now return, ended the campaign in the danger zone, finishing 15th.
The Armenian midfielder’s future remains open for now. After his return to the Nizhny Novgorod club, it will become clear whether Pari NN’s coaching staff are counting on him for the new season.
