Sardarapat and Ararat-Armenia Claim Second Wins in Armenian Championship

Today, August 7, the opening matches of the second round of the 2026/27 Armenian Championship took place.
Sardarapat recorded their second consecutive victory at the start of the season. Levon Petrosyan and Levon Vardanyan scored one goal each for the winners.
For Ararat, former Armenia national team captain Varazdat Haroyan marked his debut appearance with a goal.
In the other match of the day, Ararat-Armenia also secured their second straight victory, defeating Urartu in the derby.
New signing Benny Dias scored the winning goal. N'Dour and Rajani also found the net for Ararat-Armenia.
As a reminder, Ararat-Armenia will play the second leg against Celje in the Champions League on August 11.
