Armenian club Noah and Swiss side Sion played out a draw in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League third qualifying round. The match in Abovyan ended 2–2.
Noah took the lead twice through goals from Hélder Ferreira and Gor Manvelyan. Winsley Boteli and Ilyas Chouaref scored for the visitors.
The match also featured two red cards. Sion defender Nias Hefti was sent off in the 26th minute, while Noah player Stone Mambo was dismissed during the second half.
Despite playing with a numerical advantage for a significant period and taking the lead twice, the Armenian side was unable to hold on for victory. The tie will be decided in the second leg, which will take place in Switzerland on August 13.
