Curaçao earned the first point in their World Cup history. In the second round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage, the team held Ecuador to a 0-0 draw.
For Curaçao, this was a historic result after a heavy defeat to Germany in their World Cup debut. The team managed to regroup, withstand Ecuador’s intense pressure and even created chances to win the match.
