Red Star Belgrade suffered a 1–0 away defeat to Hapoel Be’er Sheva in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round.
Zahi Ahmed scored the only goal of the match in the 38th minute. The hosts were reduced to ten men in the 58th minute, but the Belgrade side failed to capitalize on their numerical advantage and find an equalizer.
Red Star defender Nair Tiknizyan played the full match and received a yellow card.
The return leg will take place in Belgrade on August 11.
