Former Armenia national team player Aras Ozbiliz has been appointed head coach of Urartu-2, the Yerevan club has officially announced.
Ozbiliz had previously worked within Urartu’s system as an assistant to first-team head coach Robert Arzumanyan. This will now be his first independent coaching experience, although with the club’s second team.
Ozbiliz knows Urartu well. In the 2022/23 season, he played for the club as a footballer, and in 2024 he was appointed deputy general director for youth football development. In the summer of 2025, the former Armenia international joined the coaching staff of the first team.
The club thanked Ozbiliz and wished him and the team success in the upcoming season.
