On July 30 in Athens (Greece), the final day of the 2025 U17 World Championships in Greco-Roman wrestling took place. On the third day, winners and medalists were determined in five weight categories: 45, 51, 60, 71, and 92 kg.

As a result of the competition, champions in all weight classes were announced. The Armenian team earned one gold and two bronze medals. World champion title went to Janes Nazaryan (65 kg), while Marat Atshemyan (51 kg) and Zaven Mejloumian (60 kg) won bronze medals.

At the end of the world championship, wrestlers from Uzbekistan won 4 gold medals. One gold medal each was claimed by the teams of Armenia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and India.

Among the European countries, only Armenia and Azerbaijan won gold medals. Moreover, the top four teams in the overall team standings were from Asia: Iran took first place (125 points), followed by Uzbekistan (118), Kazakhstan (113), and Kyrgyzstan (100).

Armenia finished in 9th place with 55 points, as only three wrestlers were able to earn team points.

Final: Kuanyshbek Zhangazhol (Kazakhstan) – Nurkerim Kumarbekov (Kyrgyzstan) 8-7

Bronze medal: Abdurrahman Huseynli (Azerbaijan) – Timur Makharamov (Ukraine) 9-0

Bronze medal: Vadim Tarelunga (Moldova) – Benyamin Khezli (Iran) 8-3
