Former Armenia national team captain Varazdat Haroyan opened his goal tally for Kazincbarcika in the third round of the Hungarian championship.
The 32-year-old defender equalized in the closing moments of the first half against Debrecen. In the 46th minute, Bence Sós made a powerful throw-in, and Haroyan, with his back to the goal, managed to send the ball into the net. The goal was spectacular.
However, this did not help Kazincbarcika earn their first points of the season. Debrecen snatched the victory by converting a penalty in the 65th minute. Final score — 2-1 for the hosts.
