Armenia and Legia Warsaw midfielder Vahan Bichakhchyan will miss the upcoming World Cup 2026 qualifiers against Hungary (November 13) and Portugal (November 16).
Despite the injury, one of the team’s most experienced players (46 caps) has joined the national squad and continues his recovery under the supervision of team physiotherapist Pablo Llanes.
Armenia’s head coach Yeghishe Melikyan confirmed that Bichakhchyan will not take part in the upcoming matches. Forward Gevorg Tarakhchyan from Pyunik Yerevan has been called up as his replacement.
