Vahan Bichakhchyan names possible date for return to action

Vahan Bichakhchyan, midfielder for Legia and the Armenia national team, has provided an update on his recovery and revealed when he could potentially return to the pitch.

The Armenian international expressed hope that he will be able to resume full training with the team as early as next week.

“I firmly believe that if everything goes well, I will start training with the team next week. If everything goes well during training, I may be able to take part in the match against Jagiellonia,” Bichakhchyan said in an interview with CANAL+.

The Polish league match between Legia and Jagiellonia is scheduled for September 20. If the Armenian midfielder manages to recover in time and gets some playing minutes in that game, he could also be available for Armenia’s opening matches of the new UEFA Nations League campaign.

Armenia will begin the tournament on September 25 with a home match against Latvia.

Bichakhchyan last appeared on the pitch on August 2. In the second round of the Polish league against Zagłębie, the Armenian footballer registered an assist.
