The International Boxing Association (IBA) has announced the Men’s Elite World Championships, scheduled from December 2 to 13, 2025, in Dubai. The tournament will be part of the large-scale "Boxing Festival" and will bring together the world’s top athletes.
The biggest news is the record prize pool of $8 million. Each weight category champion will receive $300,000, the silver medalist — $150,000, bronze medalists — $75,000 each, while fifth place will be awarded $10,000. The funds will be distributed among athletes, coaches, and national federations (50% to the boxer, 25% to the coach, and 25% to the federation).

IBA President Umar Kremlev emphasized that the championship will be not only the largest in history in terms of prize money but also a true celebration of boxing:
"This tournament is about fairness, respect, and new opportunities. In December, Dubai will become the capital of world boxing."
IBA Secretary Chris Roberts added that along with the championship, several major events will also take place, including the IBA Congress, professional bouts, and the Global Boxing Forum.
It is expected that the Armenian national team will participate. Notably, in September, the World Championships under the auspices of World Boxing took place in Liverpool, where Armenia did not compete. Currently, World Boxing oversees Olympic qualification, while IBA continues to organize its own prestigious tournaments.
