On December 30, Yerevan will host the first-ever HYPE FC bare-knuckle tournament, featuring a highly anticipated bout between the renowned Armenian fighter Lendrush “Leko” Akopyan and Amirhan “White Lion” Oev. The fight will serve as one of the co-main events of the evening and is expected to be among the most exciting matchups of the year for Armenian combat sports fans.
For Lendrush Akopyan, this fight will be special — it will be the first time in his career that he competes on his homeland. The Hardcore Bare Knuckle champion shared why he decided to take part in the HYPE FC tournament:
“Hello, my friends! As many of you know, I wasn’t planning to return to bare-knuckle fighting since I had offers to box or fight in small gloves. But then came an offer I couldn’t refuse — a fight against an experienced opponent with a winning streak, and most importantly, a fight in my homeland. That’s been my dream. So stay tuned — Leko is back in the game!”
Earlier, Lendrush mentioned that he was planning to retire from bare-knuckle fighting.
HYPE FC organizers note that this event marks a new stage in the development of bare-knuckle fighting in Armenia, and the participation of stars like Akopyan will attract significant attention from fans and the media.
