World Cup 2026 participant leaves Noah: Timothy Fayulu returns to Sion

DR Congo national team goalkeeper Timothy Fayulu has left Noah. The Armenian club officially announced the departure of the goalkeeper, who played for the team on loan.

Fayulu has returned to Swiss club Sion, which owns the player’s rights. However, it is still unclear where the goalkeeper will continue his career next season.

Fayulu made 10 appearances for Noah. Half of them came in European competition, with the goalkeeper playing 5 matches in the UEFA Conference League.

During his time in Armenia, Fayulu made history in local football. He became the first player from the Armenian championship to go to the FIFA World Cup. The DR Congo goalkeeper was included in his national team’s squad for the 2026 World Cup as the second-choice goalkeeper, but he did not appear on the pitch during the tournament.

Thus, Noah have parted ways with one of their most high-profile foreign players from last season. For the Armenian club, Fayulu was not only part of their European campaign, but also a player whose name became linked with a historic achievement for the Armenian championship.
