As the season in Slovakia’s Niké League nears its end, it’s time to summarize the results and honor the best. One of the main contenders for the "Player of the Season" title is Armenian forward Tigran Barseghyan, who plays for Slovan Bratislava.
Barseghyan has had an outstanding season, scoring 20 goals so far, and remains the top contender for the league’s top scorer title. His closest rival is his teammate David Strelec, who has 18 goals with two rounds remaining in the season.
The Armenian striker impresses with his versatility and creative thinking on the pitch. He is equally dangerous during set-pieces and open play, possessing excellent technique and a powerful shot. Slovan’s head coach, Vladimir Weiss, has repeatedly emphasized Barseghyan’s exceptional importance to the team, calling him the best player in the league.
Alongside Tigran, veteran Tomáš Hubočan from Žilina and Spartak Trnava goalkeeper Žiga Frelih are also in the running for the prestigious award.
