Eduard Spertsyan arrives in Como amid interest from Fabregas’ club

Armenia national team and Krasnodar captain Eduard Spertsyan has been spotted in the Italian city of Como amid rumors of possible interest from the Serie A club of the same name.

At this stage, there is no talk of a transfer. According to available information, Spertsyan is in Italy on vacation. This became known from posts shared on social media by his wife, Alina Karapetyan. She published photos from a boat trip on Lake Como. Alina appears alone in the pictures, but it is clear that the footballer is also accompanying her on the trip.

A vacation in Como may, of course, be a simple coincidence. However, the situation has attracted attention against the backdrop of recent rumors about the Italian club’s interest in the Armenian midfielder. It was previously reported that Como head coach Cesc Fabregas is personally interested in bringing Spertsyan to the team.

In addition, Como scouts attended Armenia’s friendly match against Kazakhstan. Spertsyan scored in that game and once again reminded European clubs of his qualities.

For now, a possible move remains only speculation. According to previous reports, Spertsyan’s transfer to Como could depend on the future of Nico Paz. However, at the moment, the Argentine footballer remains with the team and is currently with the Argentina national squad at the 2026 World Cup.

Como, it should be recalled, achieved a historic result by qualifying for the Champions League for the first time. As the club reaches a new level, its interest in strengthening the squad looks logical, and Spertsyan’s candidacy could become one of the options for Fabregas’ team.

Last season, the Armenian midfielder produced one of the most productive spells of his career. He recorded 14 goals and 17 assists in all competitions. In addition, Spertsyan became the best player in the Russian Premier League according to the “goals + assists” system.
