Armenia national team midfielder Eduard Spertsyan was involved in Al-Ahli’s goalscoring move in the first round of the AFC Champions League league phase against Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Neither side was able to break the deadlock for a long time, but in the 86th minute, Pakhtakor forward Flamarion put the Uzbek club ahead.
Al-Ahli managed to avoid defeat in stoppage time. In the 93rd minute, following a shot from Eduard Spertsyan, the ball fell to Firas Al-Buraikan, who converted the rebound to make the final score 1-1.
Spertsyan started the match on the bench and came on after the break. Following the game, SofaScore rated the Armenian midfielder’s performance at 6.6.
