Sergey Poghosyan, former player of the legendary Ararat-73, dies aged 78

Former Yerevan Ararat midfielder Sergey Poghosyan has passed away at the age of 78.
Poghosyan played for Ararat from 1970 to 1975 and was part of the famous team that achieved historic success in Soviet football in 1973.
The midfielder made 99 appearances and scored 6 goals for the Yerevan club.
In addition to Ararat, Sergey Poghosyan also played for Leningrad Zenit and Sumgait Polad during his career.
In 2013, Sergey Lazarevich Poghosyan was awarded the First Class Medal “For Services to the Fatherland.”
