Scandal after the Armenia vs Ukraine match: UAF files a complaint with UEFA against an Armenia national team player
Football

The Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) has submitted an official complaint to the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) of UEFA regarding an incident that occurred after the group-stage match of the UEFA Futsal Euro 2026 between the national teams of Armenia and Ukraine.

The reason was the emotional reaction of Armenia forward Denis Nevedrov, who plays at club level for the Russian club Tyumen. According to the Ukrainian side, after the final whistle Nevedrov shouted obscene insults at Ukrainian players. In addition, the UAF drew attention to Nevedrov’s posts on Instagram, which the association believes contained offensive emojis aimed at the Ukrainian team.

The match ended in a 2–1 victory for Armenia. Both goals for the Armenian national team were scored by Migran Dermendzhyan. The win was historic, becoming Armenia’s first-ever victory in the final stage of the UEFA Futsal European Championship.

The UAF expects the incident to be reviewed and an appropriate response from UEFA.

Officially: The Football Federation of Armenia presented its position on the post-match incident with Ukraine to UEFA
