Armenia to Compete at the Balkan Championships in Belgrade

The Armenian national athletics team will take part in the 2026 Balkan Indoor Championships, which will be held in Serbia’s capital, Belgrade. The tournament kicks off on February 21 and will bring together the region’s strongest athletes.

Armenia will be represented by eight athletes competing in jumping and running events.

  • Razmik Ghazaryan
  • Gor Hovakimyan
  • Levon Aghasyan

Running Events

  • Samvel Gevorgyan — 60 m
  • Stepa Andreasyan — 400 m
  • Gor Harutyunyan — 800 m
  • Yervand Mkrtchyan — 1500 m
  • Roman Aleksanyan — 3000 m

It is worth noting that indoor competitions are traditionally highly competitive, and the Balkan Championships are considered an important stage of preparation for the season’s major international events.
